Southeast Missouri State Soccer Heads to Arkansas

Sept. 8, 2005

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - September 8, 2005-- The Southeast Missouri State women's soccer team will head to Arkansas this weekend to compete in their fourth match of the season.

Southeast (2-1) will play the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2-1) on Saturday, August 10, at 4 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for Friday but was rescheduled for Saturday when Arkansas-Little Rock cancelled their match with Southeast for Sunday. Sunday's game with Little Rock has been tentatively rescheduled for October 26 and will be played at Houck Stadium.

Southeast goalkeeper Lindsay Pickering was voted defensive player of the week by the Ohio Valley conference this week and has allowed only one goal in the three matches the Redhawks have competed in this season. The team has also been led by Alaina Locopo who has already scored two goals for Southeast.

The Redhawks will be looking for their third win of the season this weekend. They will be at the University of Evansville on September 16 and will return home to Houck Stadium on September 18 to compete against the University of Iowa.
