Kraft Named OVC Soccer Player of the Week

Sept. 13, 2005

Cape Girardeau, Mo. - The Ohio Valley Conference has named Casey Kraft (St. Louis, Mo./Nerinx Hall) as the Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. Kraft had three goals and four assists in the Redhawks 11-0 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The 10 point effort by Kraft was a new Southeast school record. She led the Redhawks to the lopsided win to improve the season record to 3-1.

"Casey has the ability to dominate a match and she did that at Pine Bluff," said Southeast coach Heather Nelson. "She is getting more comfortable in our offensive system and has the opportunity to have a great freshman season."

The Redhawks play at Evansville on Friday, 7 p.m., before returning to Houck Stadium for a 2 p.m., Sunday, clash with Iowa of the Big 10.
