Live Statistics

Cape Girardeau, Mo. (October 2, 2003) -Southeast is ending their non-conference slate as they travel to face the Louisville Cardinals in their final non-conference match-up this Friday, October 3 at 6:00pm. From there they will continue on the road for their second conference matched as they are pitted up against Morehead State. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00pm Sunday, October 5 in Morehead, Ky.

Scouting Louisville...Currently the Cardinals (4-3-2) are on a one game winning streak as they blanked Southern Mississippi 1-0 last Sunday. Before that win, the team was a two game losing streak as they were shutout by University of Alabama-Birmingham 3-0 and fell 2-1 to Southern Florida. In earlier action, the Cardinals and Otahkians played one common opponent. Both teams played Memphis to a 1-1 draw. So the game should prove to be a close, competitive match-up. With their 1-0 shutout of Southern Miss., junior goalkeeper Meredith Miller is leading the defense as she has recorded 3.5 shutouts on the season moving her to fourth place on their all-time career list with 6.5 shutouts. She also moved into 2nd place in career goalkeeper minutes with 3, 491. The Otahkians will need to shutdown freshman forward Jamie Craft who is almost leading the team across all offensive categories. She is dominating the attack with 5 goals, 1 assist, 11 points, 19 shots on goal, and 26 shots. Last year's squad posted an overall mark of 2-12-1 and an 0-5-1 conference mark. The team fell to the Otahkians last season 3-1, as Southeast leads the all-time series 4-1. Scouting Southeast...The Otahkians (5-2-3) are looking to get back on track with a win before heading into a month solid of conference play. The squad saw their 6-game unbeaten streak snapped last Sunday as they fell to #23 ranked Mississippi 5-0. Despite their loss, the team had a great week as they beat Austin Peay 5-0 before heading to Mississippi.
