Southeast prepares to face former coach and her new team

Oct. 24, 2002

Cape Girardeau - Southeast prepares to face their former assistant coach Kelley Poole and her new team form Austin-Peay in a conference match on Friday.

Southeast is currently 10-4-1 overall and 3-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference after their most recent win against Morehead State (3-1). Southeast is leading the conference and is expected to host the OVC tournament in November.

Former assistant coach Kelley Poole left Southeast after last season to start the newly formed women's soccer program at Austin-Peay. It has been a rough first year for her new team. They are currently 0-10-3 overall and 0-4-1 in the OVC.

The battle between the Poole's old and new teams will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Houck Stadium. Admission is $3.00 for adults, $1.00 for children 6-18 and free for Southeast students.
