BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - Southeast Missouri freshman forward Erin Slattery (Des Peres, Mo.) has been named Ohio Valley Conference Soccer Player of the Week for the second time this season as announced by the league office on Monday.

Slattery scored a goal off a penalty kick and assisted on another goal in Southeast's 4-0 victory over Murray State on Sunday. The victory capped a perfect conference regular season (5-0) for Southeast as the Otahkians outscored their opponents 16-0 in five conference games.

Slattery currently leads the Otahkians with 10 goals on the season and is second in points with 24. Her stats rank her third in OVC in points per game (1.50) and second in goals per game (0.62).

Slattery gained OVC Player of the Week honors earlier this season, after her first full week of competition during her rookie campaign. The honor is the third for the Southeast team this season, goalkeeper Beth Guccione has also been an award winner earlier this year.

Slattery and her teammates will battle Murray State on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at Houck Stadium in the semifinals on the OVC Tournament. If the Otahkians are victorious, they will battle Eastern Illinois or Tennessee Tech for the conference championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
