Soccer Earns NSCAA Academic Award

By Patrick ClarkSoutheast Missouri State Sports Information CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Southeast Missouri State women’s soccer team was awarded the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the 2009-10 academic year. They were one of 436 teams across the collegiate landscape to gain the prestigious recognition for academic excellence. The Redhawks recorded a team cumulative grade point average of 3.21 this past year. They were one of seven teams honored from the Ohio Valley Conference. A total of 630 collegiate soccer teams, men and women were honored. To be eligible each team must have at least a team cume GPA of 3.0. Central Michigan University had the top GPA in the country last season with a 3.76. |
