2010 (Boston University): American East All-Rookie Team selection...appeared and started in all 57 games...made 20 starts at first base, 35 in the outfield and two starts in the circle...hit .202 with 34 hits, 23 runs and 24 RBI...11 of her hits went for extra bases, including eight doubles and three home runs...collected six multi-hit games...recorded four multi-RBI games, including three games where she drove in three the circle, she made five appearances including two starts...went 1-1 with 1.70 ERA in 12.1 innings of first career start, she pitched a complete game shutout in a 4-0 win over Bryant University (3/14) the America East Conference Championship Tournament title game, Cowan hit the eventual game-winning home run in the fourth inning, clinching the Terriers second-straight conference championship and a NCAA berth...hit .500 (5-for-10) with three runs and two RBI during the tournament garnering her All-Championship Team honors...went 2-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored vs. Toledo (3/14)...hit a three-run home run at Harvard (3/25)...first career home run came against Charlotte (2/27) in third career game...finished third on the team with 191 putouts...garnered American East Conference Rookie of the Week honors (4/13)...member of the Dean's List.

Prep: Four-time All-District selection and three-time All-Region honoree at Hickman High School...Second Team All-State accolades as a is etched in the Missouri state record books, ranking third all-time in games pitched (101), third in games started (100), fourth in innings pitched (6,481) and 14th in strikeouts (836)...compiled a pitching record of 69-29 throughout her high school career...led squad to a district championship and state sectionals appearance as a a senior, she struck out 274 batters and owned 0.82 ERA...also lettered in basketball and soccer...member of the National Honor Society and Health Science Club...inducted into the Hickman High School hall of Fame following her prep career...played for Gary Ennis' Missouri Rattlers in the summer.

Personal: Born on 6/22/91...daughter of Steve and Kathy Cowan...her mother was a multi-sport student-athlete at Missouri Valley College, where she played softball and basketball, while her father, Steve, was a letter winner on the football team...majoring in Education.
