Otahkian Softball Drops Two Against Middle Tennessee

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The Southeast Missouri State Softball team (4-12) dropped two games to Middle Tennessee State University (13-6) today in Nashville, Tenn. The Otahkians lost the first game 5-0 and the second 10-0.

The Otahkians only had three hits in the first game and three hits in the second game. Junior Amy Murphy was 2-3 in the first game and Senior Katie Cerneka was 2-2 during the second game. Southeast gave away two earned runs in the first game and tired in the last game giving away nine earned runs. Southeast is off to a rough start but things should pick up for the Otahkians with more playing time.

Come show your support for the Otahkians at the next home game on March 26 at 4 p.m. against Southern Illinois. The doubleheader will be at the Southeast Softball Complex.
