10/23/09 Redhawks softball was recently selected among 108 NCAA Division I colleges and universities by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) to the organization's girls got game All-Academic Team for the 2008-09 academic year. The Redhawks tied for 23rd in the nation with a cumulative 3.35 grade point average and were one of six teams honored from the Ohio Valley Conference.
8/27/09 On the heels of one of their most successful seasons since 2000, the Redhawks softball team begins their quest for their sixth Ohio Valley Conference championship in their history. That journey begins this fall as the Redhawks announced their 2009 Fall Ball schedule which features eight games including a home doubleheader.
8/6/09 Southeast Missouri State University softball head coach Lana Richmond announced the hiring of Samantha Buckner as an assistant coach Thursday. Buckner is a former starting first baseman at the University of Arkansas.
