Softball Hosts Evansville For Wednesday Double-header

Cape Girardeau, Mo. - The Southeast Missouri State softball Redhawks will try and extend their two-game win streak on Wednesday in a doubleheader with Evansville. The first game at the Southeast Softball Complex begins at 3 p.m.

The Redhawks, who had an earlier nine-game win streak, are 15-9 overall and 5-1 in the Ohio Valley Conference.

The games will be broadcast live on WUEV Radio in Evansville and will be available on the internet at www.wuev.evansville, edu.

Southeast will be led by sophomore third baseman Michelle Summers who is this week's OVC Player of the Week. Summers batted a lofty .409 for the week in seven games helping lead the Redhawks to a 5-2 mark for the week brining their season record to 15-9 (5-1 OVC). Four of her hits went for extra bases, including three home runs and a double. She knocked in seven runners and scored an additional eight runs in seven games.
