Flo Davidson will play softball for Southeast

Nov. 25, 2002

Cape Girardeau - Florence "Flo" Davidson signed a letter of intent to play for the Southeast softball team. Davidson is a utility infielder and outfielder for the Pattonville Pirates. She has been named a Suburban Journal Athlete of the Week in 2002 and named to the 2002 All-conference team.

"I am excited to have Flo as a part of our team," said Coach Lana Richmond. "Collegiately she will be used as a second baseman and outfielder. She is a very versatile defensive player, who will provide various avenues to work with."

Richmond and assistant coach Renee Enos recruited Davidson to Southeast. The location and the quality of the program really appealed to the new addition of the team. Davidson committed verbally in early Fall to the program.

"Flo wants to come here as much as we want her to be part of Southeast. It is so refreshing to have an athlete be as excited about the program as you are of their athletic possibilities," said Richmond.
