Brett Maikowski is in his second year as a student assistant in the Southeast Sports Information Department. Currently, he serves as the primary media contact for soccer and tennis.

A sophomore at SEMO, Brett is majoring in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration. He is scheduled to graduate in May 2011. In his first semester at Southeast, Brett volunteered as an usher at Houck Stadium for all home football games. He is also in the Sport Management Society, where he is the treasurer of the organization.

Originally from McKinney, Texas, Brett graduated from McKinney High School in May 2007. At MHS, he was a member of the National Honor Society, while graduating in the top 15% of his class. He is the son of Thomas and Wanda Maikowski and has two brothers, Ryan (22) and Troy (17).
