KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Coming off a big victory over Tennessee State last Friday and carrying some momentum into this week's matches in Kansas City, injuries forced Southeast Missouri to compete with only four healthy players, as they fell 7-0 to Creighton on Wednesday.

The Otahkians (2-8) lone upperclassman, Adrienne Bland missed the trip altogether due to intense cramping that required a hospital visit after the TSU match on Friday. Not having Bland and Lara Golike, forced Southeast to drop two singles matches and one doubles match from the start, making a team victory almost impossible.

Southeast did drop the other two doubles matches, as Daniela Garcia and Kay Ehlke teamed together for the first time this season losing 8-3 and Andrea Aldana and Cassie Foster fell 8-2 in the number two doubles position.

In singles, Ehlke was the closest Otahkian to victory, falling 6-4 and 7-5 to the Blue Jays Lauren Woodward in the number four position.

The depleted tennis team will have no time for rest, as they battle with host UMKC at 10:00 a.m. and then Southern Utah at 3:00 p.m.
