MARTIN, Tenn.- Although the Southeast Tennis squad had not produced many team victories recently, the squad entered Tuesday match at Tennessee-Martin on some what of a roll, playing much better than at times early in the season. But the Skyhawks of UTM proved to be too much for Southeast and defeated the Otahkians 6-1.

Sophomore Kay Ehlke was the only Otahkian victorious on the afternoon, defeating UTM's Olivia Shipley 6-3, 4-6 and 7-6 in a hard fought match. Ehlke holds a 3-1 record this Spring in OVC matches and a 7-7 record overall for the Spring.

The tough Martin squad though was able to limit Southeast by sweeping all three doubles matches and winning the other five singles matches.

Southeast will be back in action on Thursday afternoon when they host Eastern Illinois for the team's only home match of the Spring season. The match begins at 2:00 p.m. at the Southeast Tennis Complex on the corner of Sprigg and Bertling.
