Southeast (2-7) @ UMKC Tournament
vs. Creighton - April 3, 2002, 2:00 p.m.
vs. UMKC - April 4, 10:00 a.m.
vs. Southern Utah - April 4, 3:00 p.m.
Kansas City, Mo.

Coming off their first Ohio Valley Conference victory since April 16, 2000, the Southeast Missouri State Otahkian tennis team travels to Kansas City to play three matches in two days at the UMKC Tournament.

Southeast completed the 2001 season with an 0-7 OVC record and had not won an OVC match since besting Eastern Illinois 7-2 in the last match of the 2000 season. But that all changed with a dominating 7-0 victory over Tennessee State. The victory was the second of the season for the Otahkians and first 7-0 victory since defeating Dickinson College on March 19 of 2001.

The meeting will be the first ever with Southern Utah and first with Creighton in several seasons. UMKC and the Otahks battled last year in Cape Girardeau, with the Kanagroos coming out on top 4-1.

The Otahkians will head back to OVC play on Sunday, when they battle Austin Peay in Clarksville at 1:00 p.m.
