Southeast (2-11, 1-2 OVC) vs. Tennessee-Martin
April 9, 2002 - 2:00 p.m.
Martin, Tenn.

Despite losing all four matches they played last week, the Southeast Missouri State Otahkian tennis squad put forth plenty of effort and had it not been for a depleted squad, they would have won two or three of the matches.

Southeast never played with a full squad last week, as junior Adrienne Bland sat out three matches with cramping and walk-on Lara Golike missed all week due to prior committments. Southeast missed having freshman Tyla Wells in their lineup; Wells is sitting out the year with a injury.

This week, the Otahkians will play four Ohio Valley Conference matches and complete their regular season. These matches are all important as the Otahks via for an good seeding for the OVC Tournament which starts April 19 in Nashville.

Individually for Southeast, Kay Ehlke and Andrea Aldana are leading the way. Ehlke holds a 5-4 record in singles matches out of the number five position and Aldana is 4-4 in the number three position, and 2-1 in OVC matches.

The doubles team of Aldana and Cassie Foster holds a 4-5 record this Spring in the number two doubles position.
