THIS WEEK: The Southeast tennis team (5-11, 2-6 OVC) nears the end of its 21-match season following this week against two non-conference opponents and one OVC opponent. The Redhawks travel to Little Rock, Ark. to face Arkansas-Little Rock (10-11) on Thursday starting at 10 a.m. SEMO will then play Louisiana-Monroe (7-10) later that day beginning at 2 p.m. Following those matches, Southeast will head up to Martin, Tenn. to compete against Tennessee-Martin (5-10, 4-4) on Saturday at 2 p.m.

SCOUTING SOUTHEAST: The Redhawks are led by senior Bryce Kristal at the No. 1 singles spot, who is on a two-match winning streak and is 12-4 overall, while posting an impressive 7-1 record in OVC play. In doubles play, the pair consisting of seniors Bryce and Drew Kristal and the tandem of sophomore Alyce Kelly and junior Julia Masotti lead the team in wins as they are both 9-7 overall and hold an OVC record of 5-3.

SCOUTING THE TROJANS: Sophomore Patricia Cortes and freshman Rebecca VanDen Houte lead the Trojans in wins this season as they both post a 12-7 record overall. Cortes is on a three-match winning streak, while VanDen Houte is 5-4 over her last ten matches. Although these two girls have been having success, the Trojans are currently on a six-match losing streak and are 3-7 in their last ten.

SERIES HISTORY: UALR curretly leads the series over SEMO by a margin of 4-0. The most recent meeting between these two schools came last season on Feb. 10, when UALR took the match by a score of 7-0 in Little Rock.

SCOUTING THE WARHAWKS: ULM is currently on a five-match losing streak and is 6-4 in their last ten matches with their most recent loss coming from a 2-5 decision to North Texas on March 28. The Warhawks are led by senior Noelia Leon from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and sophomore Lena Satge from Vienne, France, in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, respectively.

SERIES HISTORY: ULM and SEMO will start the overall series on Thursday, since the teams have never played each other before.

SCOUTING THE SKYHAWKS: UTM has won four out of their last seven OVC matches, putting them at 4-6 in their last ten overall. They were recently on a losing streak of three before ending that slump by taking down Morehead State, 6-1, last Sunday. Leading the Skyhawks in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, senior Elizma Schoonees and junior Sara Leavy will go up against senior Bryce Kristal and junior Julia Masotti on Thursday.

SERIES HISTORY: UTM currently leads the series by a 19-1 margin with the last decision between the two teams coming last season on March 27 when the Redhawks fell to the Skyhawks, giving them the 1-6 defeat.

UP NEXT: Southeast will have one more match on Sunday to close out the regular season at home against Eastern Illinois starting at 2 p.m.
