CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast head tennis coach Donna Ryan has filled out her 2001-02 roster with three players who should be able to help the Otahkians cause right away. Incoming freshmen Cassie Foster and Tyla Wells join Indiana State transfer Daniela Garcia as the three newcomers for this year's squad.

Garcia, a native of Lima, Peru, will be a second semester freshmen in the Fall of 2002 because in Peru students graduate from high school in December. She saw limited playing time as a freshman last year at Indiana State.

Wells, an incoming freshman, hails from French Lick, Indiana. At Paoli High School, Wells was dominant, winning 64 of her 70 matches as the team's number one player. She was a four-time team MVP and captain, first-team all-state selection her senior season, a regional state tournament finalist and made the Indiana all-star team. Wells also ranked as high as 18th in the USTA's ranking of 18-year olds in the Midwest region. She also competed for the Lady Rams volleyball team, where she was an all-conference selection and co-MVP.

Foster, a walk-on, is the third member of the class. Foster, a graduate of Incarnate Word Academy in St. Louis, was the number one player for her high school team and finished last year with a 17-2 record. During her junior season, she placed first at the district playoffs.
