Volleyball Falls to Undefeated Arkansas State, 3-0
Sept. 7, 2004
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The Southeast Missouri State volleyball team will have to wait to get win number one. Southeast showed more offense than this past weekend and their defense held a potent Lady Indians offense to a .178 hitting percentage and contained Sun Belt Player of the Week Giedre Tarnauskaite to a minus .152 hitting percentage and only six kills. Baumstark was amongst four Southeast players that recorded double-digit digs, with Koeper leading the way with 15. Lauren Scannell (Belleville, IL/Southwestern Illinois College) recorded her fifth straight double-digit dig match to start the season. Brenna Schlader (Columbia, MO/Hickman) pitched in the defensive effort with four blocks, giving her a team-high 17 for the year.
