ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Southeast Missouri State volleyball lost a pair of matches today to close the Santo Bento Volleyball Invitational at Saint Louis' Baughman-Eberhardt Center. The Redhawks opened the day with a 3-1 (32-30, 26-30, 32-34, 24-30) loss to Connecticut before losing to IUPUI by second 3-1 (18-30, 23-30, 30-25, 28-30) decision to end the day.

Four players recorded double-digit kills for UConn, led by sophomore Kate Seabaugh's double-double of 22 kills and 13 digs. Freshman Lauren Lamberti (13 kills), senior Sade Chambers (10 kills) and freshman Rebecca Murray (10 kills) also recorded strong offensive efforts for the Huskies. Sophomore Bridget Denson-Dornan also recorded a double-double of 63 assists and 16 digs.

Senior outside hitter Brittany Hastings (Wichita, Kan./Circle) led Southeast with 20 kills, while junior outside hitter Aubrey Dondlinger (Palos Heights, Ill./Parkland CC) and senior middle blocker Brenna Schlader (Columbia, Mo./Hickman) added 13 kills. Sophomore setter Sarah Barth (Germantown, Ill./Central) recorded a triple-double of 51 assists, 11 kills and 10 digs.

Senior Devika Bellamy tallied a match-best 21 kills and sophomore Danielle Goodnight posted 50 assists to lead IUPUI in the second game. Freshman Lauran Thompson recorded 15 kills and junior Chelsea Bastin added 18 digs.

Dondlinger and Schlader each recorded 14 kills to lead the Redhawks. Sophomore right side hitter Karleigh DeLong (Corona, Calif./Santiago) added a double-double of 13 kills and 11 digs, while sophomore libero Molly Davis (Muncie, Ind./Burris) notched a match-best 20 digs and Barth posted 43 assists.

Southeast opens Ohio Valley Conference play next weekend with a pair of matches in Tennessee beginning Friday, Sept. 14 at Tennessee State with a start time of 7 p.m.
