MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - (Saturday, October 8, 2005) The road weary Redhawks volleyball team ended a tough road trip on a sour note falling to Middle Tennessee State in three-straight (30-22, 30-25, 30-20) at Alumni Memorial Gymnasium on Saturday. For the Redhawks it was their third-straight loss, all on the road.

The Redhawks (6-12, 3-3 OVC) struggled offensively against the tough Blue Raider (18-2) defense only hitting .109 while the Blue Raiders hit .295.

Jessica Koeper (Jackson, MO/Jackson) led the Redhawks statistically with 15 kills in the match. She had an attack percentage of .222 and accounted for 15.5 points in the match. She also finished with 6 digs.

Senior Lauren Scannell (Belleville, IL/Southwestern Illinois College) extended her streak of double-digit dig matches to 22 dating back to last season. She finished with a match-high 14 digs.

Jamie Baumstark (Hermann, MO/Hermann) finished with 22 assists. Baumstark also pitched in seven digs.

Brittany Hastings (Wichita, KS/Circle H.S.) added seven kills and three digs.

The Blue Raiders were led by Andressa Lyra who finished with a double-double with a match-high 17 kills and 10 digs. Megan Sumrell handed out a match-high 48 assists.

The Redhawks look to snap their losing streak when they return home to host three matches starting Friday, October 14 against Murray State. Start time for the match is 7:00 p.m. at Houck Field House.
