Redhawks Claim 3-1 Home Win Over Tennessee Tech

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Junior outside hitter Aubrey Dondlinger (Palos Heights, Ill./Parkland CC) tallied a double-double of a career-high 25 kills 18 digs in leading Southeast Missouri State to a 3-1 (30-25, 21-30, 30-25, 30-24) win over visiting Tennessee Tech tonight in an Ohio Valley Conference volleyball contest at Houck Fieldhouse. With the win, the Redhawks improve to 14-10 (9-4) and the Golden Eagles fell to 12-11 (6-6) on the year.

Freshman outside hitter Claire Keaton (St. Louis, Mo./Incarnate Word) and sophomore right side hitter Karleigh DeLong (Corona, Calif./Santiago) added double-doubles for the Redhawks. Keaton produced 15 kills and 10 digs, while DeLong contributed 18 digs and 12 kills with a match-high four blocks. Senior middle blocker Brenna Schlader (Columbia, Mo./Hickman) also added 10 kills for Southeast. Sophomore setter Sarah Barth (Germantown, Ill./Central) notched 53 assists, nine digs and six kills, and sophomore libero Molly Davis (Muncie, Ind./Burris) recorded 16 digs.

Freshman Leah Meffert (24 kills, 10 digs) and junior Kappy Lang (55 assists, 11 digs) tallied double-doubles to pace Tennessee Tech. Sophomore Amanda Lindgren and junior Caitlin Bullock contributed 12 and 11 kills, respectively, while junior Katie Kenline posted a match-high 24 digs for the Golden Eagles.

The Redhawks posted leading margins over Tech in kills (71-67), digs (76-73) and blocks (7.0-4.0), while the assists were deadlocked at 65 apiece.

Southeast closes its homestand on Tuesday, Oct. 23 with an OVC contest against Eastern Illinois with the first serve set for 7 p.m.
