MARTIN, Tenn. - (Friday, October 22, 2004) The Southeast Missouri State volleyball dropped the first game of their Tennessee-Kentucky weekend road trip to Tennessee-Martin, 3-0 (29-31, 28-30, 24-30) Friday night.

Southeast (5-14, 4-5 OVC) had problems against one of the top defensive teams in the conference hitting .152. The Skyhawks (8-11, 5-4 OVC) hit .197 and committed less errors. The top blocking team in the OVC, the Skyhawks lived up to their reputation with 11 block (4 solo).

Jessica Koeper (Jackson, MO/Jackson) and Jill Miller (Muncie, IN/Muncie Central) each recorded double-doubles for Southeast. For each it is their ninth double-doubles of the season, which leads the team. Koeper recorded 10 kills and a game-high 16 digs. Miller also added 10 kills and had 11 digs.

Brittany Hastings (Wichita, KS/Circle H.S.) recorded her third straight double-digit kills game with 10 kills.

Jamie Baumstark (Hermann, MO/Hermann) had a game-high 37 assists.

Lauren Scannell (Belleville, IL/Southwestern Illinois College) had her streak of 18 straight matches with double-digit digs snapped, she finished with 9 digs. S
