CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Sophomore setter Sarah Barth (Germantown, Ill./Central) tallied a triple-double of 55 assists, 19 digs and 10 kills in leading Southeast Missouri State to a five-game victory (26-30, 31-29, 29-31, 30-25, 19-17) over visiting Jacksonville State Friday night in Ohio Valley Conference volleyball action at Houck Fieldhouse. The Redhawks improve their record to 17-11 (12-5), while the Gamecocks fall to 15-9 (12-5).

Sophomore right side hitter Karleigh DeLong (Corona, Calif./Santiago) and junior outside hitter Aubrey Dondlinger (Palos Heights, Ill./Parkland CC) contributed double-doubles for Southeast. DeLong recorded 19 kills and 14 digs while Dondlinger notched 16 kills and 10 digs. Senior middle blocker Brenna Schlader (Columbia, Mo./Hickman) recorded 10 kills with a match-best seven block assists and sophomore libero Molly Davis (Muncie, Ind./Burris) produced 15 digs.

"We came out tonight wanting to be sure that we played our game and not let Jacksonville State come into our place doing what they want to do on the floor," said DeLong. "We also wanted to prove to them that our win in Jacksonville was not a fluke and that we really are the better team coming down the stretch."

Senior Abbey Breit led the Gamecocks with a double-double of match-best 26 kills and 27 digs, while senior Rebekah Nichols added 22 kills with three service aces. Sophomore Brittany Whitten contributed a double-double of 21 kills and 24 digs for JSU. Freshman Brooke Schumacher posted a match-high 78 assists and senior Abbey Vierling tallied 21 digs.

"It was good for our team to come alive and play a great game. We stuck together through our ups and downs, and it gives up a big boost for the remainder of the season," stated Barth, who recorded her second triple-double of the season.

The Redhawks face Samford tomorrow afternoon at Houck Fieldhouse in an OVC contest with the first serve set for 5 p.m. Prior to the match, Southeast will honor Schlader, Brittany Hastings (Wichita, Kan./Circle) and Sirma Ozenir (Izmir, Turkey/Izmir Karsiyaka) in a Senior Day ceremony for their contributions to the program.
