Volleyball Hosts Intersquad Match Tomorrow Morning

Aug. 17, 2007

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri State volleyball will make its first competitive appearance for the 2007 season tomorrow morning with an intersquad scrimmage at Houck Fieldhouse beginning at 10 a.m. The scrimmage concludes a two-week training camp for the Redhawks, who made a spirited run to the Ohio Valley Conference tournament championship match last season under third-year head coach Renata Nowacki.

Returning starters Brittany Hastings (Wichita, Kan./Circle), Brenna Schlader (Columbia, Mo./Hickman) and Karleigh DeLong (Corona, Calif./Santiago) and Molly Davis (Muncie, Ind./Burris) are among the eight returning players for the Southeast.

The Redhawks will face No. 16 Ohio State on Aug. 24 in the first match of the Nike/Active Ankle Invitational at Ball State's Worthen Arena in Muncie, Ind.
