CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - (October 5, 2005) The Redhawks' volleyball team travels to Charleston, Ill., today, as they prepare to face the Panthers of Eastern Illinois.

Southeast(6-9) enters the match with a 3-1 record in the OVC and are coming off a sweep of Morehead State last Saturday. The Redhawks are being led by OVC Defensive Player of the Week, Lauren Scannell.

Eastern Illinois is coming off a big win over the weekend, as they defeated Eastern Kentucky last Saturday. That win, moved Eastern Illinois into a first place tie in the OVC. Eastern currently has a 8-4 record and are 4-0 in the OVC. The Panthers are being led by OVC Offensive Player of the Week, Kara Sorenson.
