This Week:
Southeast Missouri State volleyball concludes the month of October with three Ohio Valley Conference matches this week. The Redhawks end their final three-match homestand of the year Tuesday night against Eastern Illinois with a 7 p.m., start time at Houck Fieldhouse. Southeast then travels to Kentucky during the weekend for a pair of conference contests at Eastern Kentucky on Friday evening at 6 p.m., and Saturday afternoon at Morehead State starting at 1 p.m.

Scouting The Redhawks:
Southeast enters the week with a season record of 14-10 and a 9-4 conference ledger. The Redhawks extended their winning streak to six last week after posting wins over Tennessee State (3-0) and Tennessee Tech (3-1) to kick off their current homestand. Southeast is led offensively by junior outside hitter Aubrey Dondlinger's 305 kills (3.47 kpg), while sophomore right side hitter Karleigh DeLong has produced a team-best 21 service aces (0.26 sapg) and ranks second in kills with 300 (3.70 kpg). Sophomore setter Sarah Barth has notched 794 assists (10.59 apg) to lead the team and senior middle blocker Brenna Schlader holds a team-best 80 blocks (12 solo, 68 assisted - 0.90 bpg). Sophomore libero Molly Davis has amassed 449 digs (4.80 dpg) on the year for the Redhawks.

Scouting The Panthers:
Eastern Illinois heads into Tuesday's contest with an 11-11 overall record and is 4-9 in the OVC. Last weekend, the Panthers gained a 3-1 win over Tennessee State and a 3-0 victory over Tennessee Tech at Lantz Arena. Senior outside hitter Eliza Zwettler leads EIU with 359 kills (3.99 kpg) and is second in digs with 293 (3.26 dpg), while sophomore middle blocker Amy Sesol has tallied a team-best 65 blocks (11 solo, 54 assisted - 0.66 bpg). Junior middle hitter Lauren Sopcic has amassed a team-high .341 hitting percentage, senior setter Maren Crabtree has dished out a team-best 1,017 assists (11.43 apg) and freshman outside hitter Kelsey Orr leads the Panthers with 34 service aces (0.40 sapg). EIU's defense is led by sophomore libero Shaina Boylan's 422 digs (4.69 dpg). The Panthers are coached by Lori Bennett, who has produced a 35-39 record in three seasons at the helm.

Series History:
Southeast has notched a 19-15-1 lifetime mark against Eastern Illinois which includes wins in four of the last six contests at Houck Fieldhouse. The Redhawks claimed a five-game victory over the Panthers in the teams' first meeting of the season in Charleston, Ill. Last season, Southeast won both matches with EIU, including a four-game win at Houck Stadium.

Scouting The Colonels:
Eastern Kentucky enters the week with a 3-20 season record into Friday's match versus the Redhawks that includes a 2-11 conference record. The Colonels earned a split last week in two road contests in Tennessee with a 3-2 win at Tennessee State and a 3-0 loss at Austin Peay. Junior middle blocker Amanda Wilson has notched 284 kills (3.55 kpg) and 60 blocks (22 solo, 38 assisted - 0.75 bpg) to pace Eastern Kentucky. Freshman setter Kate Hendle leads EKU with 604 assists (9.59 apg) and junior middle blocker Bridget Mustard has amassed a team-leading 18 service aces (0.38 sapg), while senior libero Brittany Nobilio has recorded 412 digs (5.97 dpg) this season. Lori Duncan has tallied a 138-157 record in 10-plus seasons as Eastern Kentucky's head coach.

Series History:
Southeast holds a 26-5 lifetime advantage in the all-time series with Eastern Kentucky. The Redhawks have won seven of the last 10 meetings with the Colonels dating back to 2001. The Redhawks claimed a 3-1 win over EKU on Sept. 29 at Houck Fieldhouse. Last season, Southeast snapped a three-match losing skid to EKU by producing a 3-0 victory in Richmond, Ky.

Scouting The Eagles:
Morehead State heads into this week's action sporting a 15-8 overall record and has tallied a 9-3 ledger versus OVC teams. The Eagles captured a 3-0 road victory at Austin Peay on Oct. 20 in their lone match of last week. Junior outside hitter Ashley Doscher has produced a team-best 285 kills (3.52 kpg) and 37 service aces (0.46 sapg) for Morehead. Junior middle hitter Erin Peak currently ranks second on the team in kills (280 - 3.41 kpg) and blocks (64; 12 solo, 52 assisted - 0.78 bpg) in addition to recording a team-high .285 hitting clip. The Eagles' assist leader is junior setter Katelyn Barbour with 988 assists (12.05 apg) and sophomore libero Kristina Schoo has tallied 369 digs (4.50 dpg). Morehead State is guided by head coach Jaime Gordon, who has amassed a record of 72-78 in four-plus seasons with the Eagles.

Series History:
The Redhawks hold a 23-10 advantage in the all-time series with Morehead State. The Eagles have won five of the last nine meetings since 2001. This year is the first time since 2002 that Southeast and Morehead have faced each other twice in a season. The Eagles claimed a 3-0 victory over the Redhawks at Houck Fieldhouse on Sept. 28.

Coach Ren Nears Coaching Milestone:
Redhawks Head Coach Renata Nowacki continues to move closer towards a second coaching milestone in her third season with the Redhawks. Nowacki has recorded 46 wins and is now four wins away from the 50th victory of her career. She earned her 25th coaching win in the Redhawks' 3-1 home win over Eastern Illinois on Oct. 4, 2006.

Southeast begins the month of November at Houck Fieldhouse with a pair of OVC home contests. The Redhawks battle OVC-leading Jacksonville State on Nov. 2 starting at 7 p.m. and face Samford on Nov. 3 with a start time of 5 p.m.
