Two Redhawks Garner All-OVC Volleyball Honors

(Wednesday November 19, 2008) - Southeast Missouri State volleyball players Aubrey Dondlinger and Claire Keaton earned All-Ohio Valley Conference accolades, the conference announced today. Dondlinger captured First Team All-OVC honors while Keaton was named to the All-OVC Second Team. Dondlinger was named to the OVC All-Newcomer Team last season and was named to the Second Team Preseason All-OVC this year before earning today's honors. Dondlinger posted five double-doubles this season and was second on the team in kills with 2.86 per game. She had reached double-digit kills 10 times this season, including in nine of her last 10 matches. She has also compiled 196 digs this season, hitting the 20-plus dig mark twice. Dondlinger was also named OVC Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 27th.
Keaton ranks seventh in the OVC in both kills and points per game, with 3.27 and 3.65 respectively. Keaton posted a team-high eight double-doubles this season. She tallied a .237 attack percentage, 13 service aces, 35 total blocks and 2.51 digs per game. Keaton was named OVC Offensive Player of the Week September 15th. Tennessee Tech's Leah Meffert was named OVC Player of the Year, Katie Kenline was named OVC Defensive Player of the Year and John Blair was named OVC Coach of the Year. Murray State's Jade Guo was named OVC Freshman of the Year.
