Jill Miller Ends Career as an All-OVC Tournament Selection

Nov. 21, 2005

CHARLESTON, Ill. - (Sunday, November 20, 2005) Even after she left the court for the final time Jill Miller (Muncie, IN/Muncie Central) still left an impression to those she played and competed against as she was named to the O'Reilly Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball Championship All-Tournament team on Sunday afternoon after the conclusion of the OVC's Championship match that saw Jacksonville State defeat two-time defending champion Eastern Kentucky, 3-2.

The selection of Miller is the first All-Tournament selection for the program since Bobbi Carlile received honors during the 2002 Tournament.

Miller averaged 4.00 kills per game and 3.00 digs per game. She scored 32 points in two matches and had an attack percentage of .294 as she committed only seven attack errors in 85 total attacks.

Against No. 4 seed Eastern Illinois in the tournament's first round match Miller set a new career-high with 26 kills. The 26 kills were also a match-high and she added 15 digs for her 16th double-double of the season. She also recorded a team-high attack percentage of .383 as the Redhawks upset the Panthers in five games.

In her final match against No. 1 seed Eastern Kentucky, Miller closed her memorable four-year career with six kills and nine digs.

For her career she finished with 1,451 digs which ranks third on the school's all-time charts. She also finished with 128 career aces which ranks ninth on the all-time charts.
